Independent Testing for Cleanroom Consumables
Valutek Offers our Clients The Opportunity to Test Cleanroom Consumables
At Valutek, we offer our clients the opportunity to test cleanroom consumables for several reasons. The primary purpose of independent testing is to validate the quality of the vendor's products and ensure that the garments being used meet the cleanroom specifications of the facility. The testing services aim to provide a comparative analysis between your current product and other available options. All testing is conducted according to IEST/ASTM documented test methods.
TEST SERVICES
Valutek conducts tests on your cleanroom materials to determine if they meet or exceed the manufacturer's published specifications. Currently, we provide the following test services in the form of product testing reports and comparison reports:
Gloves
- Physical Properties (Thickness, weight etc.)
- Particle Counts
- Microscope Examination
Wipers
- Physical Properties (Dimension, Basis weight, etc.)
- Microscope Examination
- Sorbency (Capacity & Rate)
- Particle Counts (LPC & APC)
Reusable Garments
- Airborne Particle Counts
- Disposable Apparel
- Airborne Particle Counts
- Cleaning Material
- Particle Counts
ESD Testing
- Surface Resistivity
ADVANCE TEST EQUIPMENTS
Helmke Yeich Tumble Drum
Air Particle Count (APC) Testing of garments, wipers, gloves, and other clean room-ready products to determine the number and size of particles released.
Scanning Electronic Microscope
To produce images of a sample by scanning it with a focused beam of electrons. For particle characterization and material identification.
Stereo Microscope
Provides excellent optical performance, such as high magnification, high-zoom ratio and high-resolution images, and advanced operability.
Digital Surface Resistance Meter
To measure resistance between two points (RTT), the surface to the ground (RTG), and surface resistivity in complete accordance with EOS/ESD standard.
All Valutek Testing Services are Performed According to IEST's Recommended Practices and ASTM Test Methods.
IEST Standards and Recommended Practices (RPs) provide standardized procedures based upon peer-approved applications of environmental technology. (i.e. IEST-RP-CC004: Evaluating Wiping Materials.)
ASTM's laboratory testing standards are instrumental in specifying the standard dimensions, design, and make of the various equipment and instruments used in the laboratory for scientific experiments and procedures. (i.e. ASTM D3767: Standard Practice for Rubber—Measurement of Dimensions)
We test for physical properties using the following methods:
- TAPP T-410 test methods for Material, cutting/edge basis weight, and Dimensions.
- ASTM D3767 test methods for palm width, length, weight, area, cuff, palm, and finger thickness.
- IEST-RP-CC-0043.3 (for absorbency) test method for intrinsic, extrinsic absorbency, and the sorption rate.
- IEST-RP-CC-005.4 test methods for Air Particle Count using the Helmke Drum, and a biaxial shake for fiber count.
- Non Volatile Residue (NVR) using test methods IEST-RP-CC-005.4 for the DI Extraction, IPA Extraction, DI Extractable matter percent, and IPA Extractable Matter Percent.
- ESD In-Use Resistance Testing using ANSI/ESD SP15.1-2011 for Surface Resistance, Volume Resistance, Point-to-point Resistance, and Constant Area Force Electrode (CAFÉ).
